BLITZ IN PIAZZA AFFARI
#FUCKAUSTERITY, SUPPORT GREEK PEOPLE, THIS IS NOT OUR EUROPE
People before profit #OXI!
PEOPLE, THIS IS NOT OUR EUROPE”.

#FUCKAUSTERITY, GREEK SUPPORT PEOPLE, THIS IS NOT OUR EUROPE
People before profit #OXI!On the day of international solidarity with the greek people in dozens of young people, students, residents of neighborhoods, we invaded the staircase in Piazza Affari. In front of the Stock Exchange, the symbol of the finance that is strangling entire populations across Europe and holding the greek people in the grip of the blackmail of debt, we opened a big banner similar to the one that appeared in Syntagma Square and has been around the world in photographs of newspapers and web: “#FUCKAUSTERITY, SUPPORT GREEK PEOPLE, THIS IS NOT OUR EUROPE”.The steps of the palace were painted red as a symbol and denunciation of criminal responsibility of a financial power in the name of profit speculating on the lives of people around the world; in Greece, 58% of the population barely survives under the poverty line, but also here in Italy the already high percentage of 13.6% is in constant growth. Our Europe is not the one of the banks that engulf funds and “aid”, but that of the people who react by mutual aid, resistance and refuse to pay the debt: People before Profit. In two days, with a referendum the Greeks will have to decide whether or not subject himself to the blackmail of the Troika and the ECB; whether to accept an agreement in the name of austerity and misery behind the threat of funding cuts. Or whether to support their “right to insolvency” refusing to honor a debt incurred by banks and between banks. Today a written 15-meter “OXI” was drawn on the pavement of Piazza Affari.
