BIOGRAFIA:
Born in the UK and raised in Italy, Lion D is a Rasta singer and a rising star in the European reggae scene.
His remarkable melodies and his conscious lyrics are captivating sound systems, radio DJ’s and producers all over Europe and also in the USA. His two American tour at november 2012 and april 2013 confirmed the power of his music and the quality of his live performances: his unique voice, style and energy on stage reveal that Lion D has a real talent, as promising as many great Jamaican artists.

Very prolific artist, in march 2013 he released his new LP, ‘Bring Back the Vibes’, a new roots reggae album, which is acclaimed both from DJs and press from all over the world. The webzine Reggae Trends has included it among the best 2013 albums so far, ranking the third place, just behind Etana and Jah9.
The single “Nuh Rump” in combination with Raggamuffin soldier Skarra Mucci, istantly jumped #1 position of Dj Meska & Shotta Paul’ JUGGLERZ Reggae Chart in (Germany) just a week after the official release and made the February 2013 top #10 of Reggaeland FM (Spain) on Reggae4us radio! The 7 inches containinig ‘Nuh Ramp’ and ‘Try Afta You’ was at #1 on Irie Ites’ selling chart and is now in currently at #5 on Soundquake’ selling chart. Reggae-Vibes He has numerous already released works -‘The Burnin Melody’ in 2009 (Irie Fm, 876 Radio, BBC), ‘Reap What you Sow’ in 2011, ‘Real Somth’n’ and ‘Wild Fire’ in 2012 – and can count several remarkable collaborations both with Italian artists – Franziska, Shanty, River Nile, Magadog, Miss Linda, Jah Love, Saint Paul, Raina, Ras Tewelde – and internationally acknowledged ones, such as KG Man, Jamaican Vertex, Lutan Fyah, Skarra Mucci, Cut la Roc, Supersonic, King Kong, Wice Wersa.
His 2013 single “Soundboy A Go Dead”, produced by French label Irie Ites, was very well received. His songs are written in Jamaican Patois and his conscious lyrics describe the world through music, using it as a way to denounce unjustice and to express his own spirituality. He has voiced all reggae styles, from sing-jaying to new roots to late dancehall and hip-hop.
He has toured Italy, Europe and the USA performing in top live clubs and festivals and he is always engaged in an intense live activity both on track-show with Bizzarri Sound and backed by his Livity Band.
